MEET JOE

Joe Dooling is a farmer and rancher and the third generation of his family to call Montana home. He farms and ranches in the Helena Valley with his son Tyler.

Joe has previously served as the Chairman of the Lewis and Clark County GOP. Additionally, Joe served on the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds Board, Montana Stockgrowers Association, and was appointed by President Trump to the Farm Service Agency Committee.

Raised in south central Montana, Joe graduated from Beaverhead County High School and attended Montana State University where he earned a BS in Agri Business and Economics.

My Priorities as Commissioner:

  • Protect Montana Ratepayers First
    Stand up to unjustified utility rate hikes and make sure families, seniors, and small businesses are never treated like an afterthought.

  • Fiscal Responsibility Without the Games
    Demand smart, disciplined oversight of utilities so Montanans pay only for what’s necessary, not for bureaucratic waste or corporate mismanagement.

  • Transparency You Can Actually See
    Open the books, explain the decisions, and ensure every rate increase and regulatory action is clear, justified, and accountable to the public.

  • Fair, Reliable, and Affordable Energy
    Balance reliability, affordability, and long-term planning so Montana’s energy future works for people, not political agendas.

  • Independent Oversight, Montana Values
    Put taxpayers ahead of special interests by enforcing the law fairly and keeping the Public Service Commission focused on service, not politics
